Thu Jan 19, 2017

7:00P - 10:30P

25th Street Recording Studio - Oakland California

For this unique recording session, Jazz Mafia's director Adam Theis is bringing together two of the collective's favorites bands:

Since 2003, The Shotgun Wedding Quintet has worked to create an illicit blend of hip hop and jazz that's rooted in tradition, but is ever looking forward. Each band member of this 5-piece ensemble is a multi-instrumentalist, making use of samplers and looping techniques to create a wall of sounds as band members shift from instrument to instrument.

Cosa Nostra Strings specializes in original hybrid crossover music ranging from acoustic power ballads, and everything in between.

As Jazz Mafia's director, Adam has assembled over 100 different live projects over the past 16 years and led/co-led dozens of acclaimed bands.

Line up:

Dublin - vocals

Max Miller Loran - trumpet/synths

Adam Theis - bass/trombone

Jon Monahan - guitar

Pat Korte - drums/sampler

With

Shaina Evoniuk - violin

Keith Lawrence - viola

Lewis Patzner - cello

Aaron Kierbel - percussion
